Terms of Service

1. Services

Grace Services provides professional handyman services in the San Francisco Peninsula, South Bay, and surrounding areas. All services are subject to availability and scheduling.

2. Estimates & Pricing

Pricing is a flat rate per 90-minute visit (no trip charge, no diagnostic fee). Prices do NOT include materials. Materials are client-supplied; if we source them, a $50 sourcing fee applies and is quoted before the visit. Final pricing is quoted up front before work begins.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services. We accept cash, check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, and Zelle. An invoice is emailed after the job.

4. Scope of Services & License Disclosure (AB-2622)

Grace Services performs handyman tasks consistent with California Business & Professions Code §7048.5 (as amended by AB 2622, effective January 1, 2025). All services are capped at a total contract price under $1,000 (labor + materials combined). This exemption applies to handyman services that do not require a specialty contractor license and do not require a building permit. Work requiring specialty licenses (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing) is outside our scope and will be referred to licensed specialists.

Our service professionals operate as independent contractors. Grace Services is the platform and scheduling coordinator. Each service professional holds responsibility for the quality of their workmanship.

5. Liability & Insurance

Grace Services carries general liability insurance up to $1,000,000 per occurrence. Our liability is limited to the scope of services performed. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or issues not identified in the initial assessment.

6. Warranty

We stand behind our workmanship. Most labor warranties are 30 days from date of service. Materials sourced by the client are not covered under our workmanship warranty.

7. AI Virtual Assistant & Call Recording (SB-1001 / CIPA)

AI Disclosure (SB-1001): Phone calls to or from Grace Services are answered by an AI virtual assistant named "Grace," operated on our behalf by Next Unit Pro LLC. Grace will identify itself as an AI agent at the start of each call as required by California Business & Professions Code §§ 17940–17943. You may request to speak with a human at any time.

Call Recording (CIPA): Calls may be recorded for quality assurance, scheduling, dispute resolution, and service improvement, in compliance with the California Invasion of Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code §§ 631–632.7). By continuing the call after the recorded greeting, you consent to recording. Recordings are retained for up to 2 years; transcripts for up to 3 years. 8. SMS Messaging Program (TCPA)

By providing your mobile phone number and requesting services, you expressly consent to receive transactional and service-related text messages from Grace Services (operated by Next Unit Pro LLC) regarding your appointment — including confirmations, technician status updates, and service completion notices. Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by service.

9. AI-Generated Content & Suggestions

⚠️ AI-assisted suggestions. AI may make mistakes — verify before use. Grace Services uses AI systems to assist with scheduling, answering questions, and generating service summaries. AI-generated content is provided as a convenience and does not constitute professional advice. Grace Services and Next Unit Pro LLC are not liable for errors in AI-generated output. Human review is available upon request.

10. Children's Services (COPPA)

Our services are designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are scheduling services for a household with children under 13, please contact us directly at (669) 280-5858. If we discover we have collected information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
